Flower Gallery

Close up (Macro) photos of many flowers, and take the time to see (smell) the flowers around you. A lot of flowers are only present for a short time, however, so much detail is in them that it is such a pleasure to take their picture when they are at their peak.

All of these photos are available for print. Their resolution is low to maintain integrity. If you wish to purchase the photo, it will be in high resolution as when it was taken.

Canna Lily can be found in so many vibrant colours. They are delicate and love the tropical weather.

The Lilypily provides edible fruit full of goodness. Try it and see.

Hibiscus flowers give such a beautiful photo of contrasts. They can also be used to make shampoo and tea.

This Alstonville is in our backyard, it is a bush that gives such a beautiful purple contrast in our garden that I had to take a photo.

This flame Lily is the national flower of Zimbabwe, I took this picture in Malawi because of the vibrant colours that they produce, so beautiful.

Golden Penda (Xanthostemon chrysanthus)

The Golden Penda is such a beautiful tree in our yard, it brings many birds as it is a beautiful native. The fullness of the flower distribution means it is a sight to flood the senses.

Grevillea

I took this photo of the Grevillea because of the amazing detail that is seen – it is a complex flower with many flowerets, each containing the red stigma and yellow flower.

Rosebud

The eternal beauty of the rose is always to be admired. Even though it is only out for a few days, we can still enjoy the beauty and scent.

Morning Glory (Ipomoea purpurea)

Morning glory is a vine that is found all over, this was taken at the beach and the insects appreciate the abundance of the food supply that they provide.
